Harry Tuttle III Obituary

Harry W. Tuttle III, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2024, next to his wife Kathryn, and with the warm memories of a well-lived life. Born on September 25, 1937, a son of Harry W. and Ethel Warner Tuttle Jr., Harry grew up in West Haven, where he quickly became known for his kindness, determination, and passion for sports.

A proud graduate of West Haven High School, Harry was a gifted athlete who excelled in basketball, baseball, and football. His dedication to his teams showcased his outstanding sportsmanship and team spirit, qualities he carried with him throughout his life. After high school, he went on to study at Milford Prep and Quinnipiac University, laying the foundation for a successful career and lifelong love of learning.

Harry dedicated much of his time and energy to his community. As a devoted coach of a Biddy basketball team, he shared his love for the game with younger generations, guiding his players with patience and encouragement. He served on the Planning and Zoning Board in West Haven and later Woodbridge, where his fair-mindedness and commitment to community values made him a respected leader.

Harry spent many years managing his Marketing Specialties Agency before retiring, though he never lost the vigor and dedication that defined his career. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus, embodying their values of charity, unity, and fraternity.

In addition to his cherished wife and high school sweetheart, Kathryn McWeeney Tuttle, with whom he shared a remarkable 65 years of love, laughter, and resilience, Harry was a devoted father to his daughters, Karen Tuttle and Renata (Nikhil Hingorani) Tuttle, and a proud grandfather to Evra and Zane Hingorani, who were a source of great pride and joy in his life. He was predeceased by his beloved children Nancy, James, and Janet, whose memories he held close to his heart every day.

Harry’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends were the hallmarks of his life. A lifelong Yankees fan and a proud Pendleton man, he brought joy and humor to all who knew him. His gentle spirit, infectious smile, and compassionate heart touched countless lives. Harry will be dearly missed and forever remembered as a pillar of strength, kindness, and love.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of Harry's life will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Harry's memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Research Institute, (www.cfri.org).
