Helen A. (Abbadessa) Oliveri

Helen A. Oliveri, 91, of West Haven entered into rest on March 21, 2023.  She was the wife of the late Vincent Oliveri.  Helen leaves her children Francesca (Michael) Ferrucci and Vincent (Lisa) Oliveri; four adored grandchildren Elena (Dago) Godoy, Christofer Oliveri, Michelle (Dave) DeRosa and Matthew Oliveri; six precious great grandchildren and one on the way.  Her siblings Bernard Abbadessa, Mary Zavarella and Angela Sgueglia predecease her.

Helen lived a full and active life.  She volunteered, well into her 80’s, at WHEAT and at the Noble Community Center.  She traveled with SAGIO and loved to dance.  However, her favorite times were spent with her family, especially the grandchildren, cooking and enjoying the great grandbabies.

Visitation will take place on Friday morning March 24, 2023 from 9 to 10:30 at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Precious Blood (St. Agnes) Church, Woodmont at 11 o’clock.  Entombment will follow in St. Lawrence Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or to the Shriner’s Childrens Hospital.
