Henry "Hank" Ramirez, 67 of Deltona, Florida formerly of Mt. Arlington, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on October 2, 2021, surrounded by his family.
Hank was born on June 24, 1954 in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Henry and Laura (Otero) Ramirez. Hank is survived by his loving wife and soulmate Mary Lou (Sperry). Hank is also survived by his brother Alexander Ramirez Sr., his Aunt Sylvia (Otero) Madero and Uncle Victor Otero Jr., nieces Angelisa (Cruz) (Jon) Wojcik, Carly Cruz, Monica (Sperry) and Madison Lamparski, nephews Brandon Cruz and Alexander Ramirez Jr. Brother-in-laws Russell J. Sperry Jr., John (Maureen) Sperry, George (Judy) Sperry, Robert Sperry and sister-in-law Doris (Sperry) Minard, great nephews, Octavius and Dorian Wojcik and Alexander Ramirez III. Hank is also survived by his life long friends, Eugene Mc Connell and Peter Jankunas. Along with his parents, Hank was predeceased in death by his sister Lorraine (William) Cruz, his grandparents Victor and Milagros Otero and his uncles Juan Luis and Anthony Otero.
Hank retired from Elizabeth Board of Education in Elizabeth, New Jersey after thirty years as a Warehouse Specialist. In his early years Hank formed many friendships while being a member of the Ironbound Boys and Girls Club. He continued his affiliation as a program director for several years. Hank was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. Hank enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had fond memories of summers spent "Down the Shore". He loved traveling with his wife and was a "Foodie" at heart. Hank, was a kind, generous and loving man and will be greatly missed and will forever remain in our hearts.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 10:00am in St Lawrence Church, 207 Main Street, West Haven, Ct. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, 871 Campbell Ave., West Haven, CT.
