Ilidio N Silva

Ilidio N. Silva, 90, passed way on April 8, 2022, at Yale New Haven Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of 64 + years to the late Rosalina Chaves Silva.  Ilidio was born in Portugal on March 17, 1932, to the late Antonia Norberto and Teresa (Nunes) da Silva. 

Ilidio married in 1954, and shortly thereafter immigrated to Angola where he resided for over 20 years before returning to Portugal in 1975.  In December of 1979 he and his wife moved to the United States.  He made his living as a Machinist working in the Manufacturing industry before retiring at age 75.  

Ilidio is survived by his daughter Teresa da Silva, three sons, Gilberto, Carlos and Victor Silva, two sisters, three brothers and seven grandchildren.  He was predeceased by one brother.  

Calling hours will take place on Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 9:00 a.m.  – 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, West Haven.
