James Scott Obituary

James E. Scott, age 64, of West Haven passed away with his family by his side on June 11, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long illness. For 42 years, He was the loving husband of Bette Goetz Scott. Jim was born in New Haven, son of the late Harold and Glenice Pickering Scott. He is also survived by his son Rory James (Angel Mossman) Scott of West Haven, his brother Hal Scott of Madison and his rescue dog Chase, who was always by his side. Jim is also predeceased by his twin sister Joan Scott Goodmaster. He retired from Peschell’s Pastry Shop, after creating the most wonderful breads and baked goods for over 33 years.

Per Jim request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to West Haven Animal Control 9 Collis St., West Haven, CT 06516, where Jim and Chase were brought together. Please note to honor James E. Scott on the donation. West Haven Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
