Jane F. Judson, 74, of West Haven, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025. Born on July 30, 1951, in New Haven, Jane was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jeanette Ford of West Haven. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of forty-six years, James Judson, and her children, Victoria (Kenneth) Hulse and Daniel (Mary) Judson. She is also survived by the greatest joy in her life: her five grandchildren, William, Alexander, Andrew, John, and Olivia. In addition, she is survived by her siblings, Paul Ford and Loretta Glazier.
Jane worked as a medical technologist at various local hospitals until 2005. After retiring, she became a full-time grandma, lovingly referred to as “Mimi.” To know Jane was to know her love for bedazzled blouses, Christmas sweaters, cruises, and Disney World. Most of all, she enjoyed sharing stories about her children and their accomplishments and later found even more pride in her grandchildren. She remained endlessly optimistic, even when facing life challenges, but even through it all her infectious laugh could still be heard from any corner of the house. Her family strives to carry on her strength, positivity, and zest for life. They are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered love, support, and encouragement over the past twenty years.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, August 9, from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m., followed by a brief service at 2:30 p.m., at the West Haven Funeral Home, 662 Savin Avenue, West Haven. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Seeing Eye of Morristown, New Jersey, in support of their training program. This organization provided Jane with her two beloved service dogs, Vesta and Ripley.
