Jane Louise Warner Wohnhas (formerly DeGennaro), of West Haven, and former resident of Manasota Key, FL entered into rest on September 14, 2021. A daughter of the late Thomas C. and Helen Northrop Warner, Jane was born in Derby, CT on February 23, 1929.
Jane leaves a large family, including her seven children; Donna (Dr. Ronald) Montano, Joyce (Robert) Brooks, Edward (Bonnie) DeGennaro, Jr., Paul (Maryann) DeGennaro, Judge Mark (Joy) DeGennaro, Dr. Thomas (Mary) DeGennaro, and Lisa Coletta (John) Muzzi, eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, her sister Barbara (Robert) Moran and her former husband Edward DeGennaro, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son James DeGennaro, her brother Thomas Warner Jr., and her second husband Willis Wohnhas, the love of her life.
Jane served as Executive Assistant to the Director of the West Haven Redevelopment Agency before becoming the Executive Assistant to the Director of Medical Records at St. Raphael Hospital, from which she retired. Jane was the consummate loving mother and grandmother, she never stopped encouraging and supporting her children and grandchildren. After retirement, she loved living by the water in Florida, traveling around the country to see her family, and taking trips with them to the Bahamas.
In accordance with her wishes, there are no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WHEAT or the Shriners Hospital.
