Janet (Weber) Bauer

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Janet W. Bauer, age 89, of Clearwater Florida passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024.

Janet Alice Weber was born in West Haven, Connecticut on June 23, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Charles Jacob and Lydia Neps Weber.

Janet graduated from West Haven High School, Class of 1952. After graduation she worked at the West Haven Phone Company. And on October 2, 1959 married Charles L. Bauer. Together they traveled the world and had homes in Pittsburgh, PA, Leesburg and Clearwater Beach, FL as well as Germany and France.

She raised two children, David W. Bauer of Marietta, GA and Lisa A. Bauer of Colorado Springs, CO. And was the doting grandmother of Lucas, Kaitlyn and Marlee. And Great Grandmother of Rose.

Janet was a devoted and loving wife and was married for 64 years to Charles Lloyd Bauer who preceded her in death by only 2 months to the day.

She was predeceased by her sisters Arlene Porter and Judy Pelletier and brother Robert C. Weber Sr. And is survived by sister-in-law Mary Ann Zampolli Weber. As well as several nephews.

Janet enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, sewing, needlepoint, bowling, bridge, singing in the choir and attending Sunday services. She was friendly and outgoing with an infectious laugh, spoke fluent German and French and has friends across the globe that hold her dear.

Janet was the heart of our home and family and embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her family.

She (Mom, Oma, Janet) will be forever remembered with love by her children and grandchildren as we celebrate her journey home.
