Jim Sorensen

Jim Sorensen, 79, of West Haven entered into rest on December 21, 2023. Jim’s loving family includes his wife Annette LaMonica Sorensen; children Paul and Betsy (DJ) Stutzman, two adored grandchildren Nicholas and Kaytlin and his two sisters Dolores (the late John) Berenda and Christine (Barry) Palermo. His parents Howard and Mary Louise Amero Sorensen predecease him.

A lifelong Westie, Jim was a running back on the 1959 Bailey football team that went undefeated, untied and unscored upon, as well as on the West Haven High football team.  As a young adult, he traveled the world from Europe to Hawaii before settling down to raise a family. In later years, Jim enjoyed cruising along the shore, going out to breakfast, working at the hockey rink and following baseball, especially the Yankees.  His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family.  He was a proud grandfather who will be sadly missed by everyone.

Visitation will take place on Thursday December 28 from 9 to 11 am at the West Haven Funeral Home. All other services are private.
