Joan Schull Obituary

Joan Elizabeth Lickteig Schull, born June 25, 1933, entered into eternal rest (heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ) on March 9, 2026. She is reunited with her husband Andreas C. Schull, daughters Denise E. Schull and Pamela A. Holycross, parents Joseph and Anna Mary Urban Lickteig, stepfather Wallace Bishop, brothers Joseph and Eddie Lickteig, sister Lori Duryea, and grandson Jason Holycross. She leaves two sons Derrick R. (Donna) Schull and Neal J. (Denise) Schull, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She also leaves three sisters, Anna Pearson, Valerie Bly, and Rosemary White.

Joan was married to her loving husband for fifty-three years. She lived at 19 Wilson Ave. West Haven CT. for about 70 years, raised four children there, loved her flowers, gardens, painting, knitting, puzzles, and games. She was a housewife and mother first. She worked at the telephone company before children then worked as a secretary afterwards for Schull Associates. She was a devoted born-again Christian for over fifty years, knew her Bible and had great faith. She loved all her family and all who passed through her life. She prayed always for everyone to come to know Jesus Christ like she did, and for everyone's wellbeing through this life. She was a devoted caregiver to many family members through the years. Always giving, caring, and loving. She passed away at Branford Hospice peacefully with family by her side.

A celebration of the life of Joan Schull will take place at Gateway Christian Fellowship, 129 Bull Hill Lane, West Haven, Connecticut at 9 am on April 11, 2026.
