John C. Dillman

John C. Dillman, 90, of West Haven entered into rest on January 24, 2025.  He was the beloved husband of Concetta “Connie” Terrazzano Dillman.  In addition to his wife, John’s family includes two sons Michael (Mary)and James (Lisa) Dillman; four granddaughters Courtney, Kristen, Katie and Caitlyn, grandson Robert and two sisters Joan Hendricks and Nora Vetrano.  He was predeceased by his son John, a sister Nancy and a brother Robert Dillman. A son of the late Francis and Catherine McCarthy Dillman, John was a member of the first four year graduating class at Notre Dame High School. Post high school, he enlisted in the US Navy and served during the Korean War.  His career at SNET spanned 43 years where he worked as a data processor and was a member of the SNET Pioneers.

An active member and tireless volunteer, of the West Haven community, John held several leadership positions, as president of the following, Forest School PTA, Ray Tellier Midget Football League and the West Haven Elks.  He chaired the committee to update the West Haven Library and worked on the committee to build a new Forest School.  Connie and John were members of the Notre Dame Knights of Honor.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday January 28, 2025 from 9:30 to 11 am at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.  A parlor service will begin at 11 am.  Interment, with military honors, will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
