Joseph Robert Lambert

Joseph Robert Lambert, 90, of West Haven, died on October 14, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born in Ossining, New York, on March 5, 1935, a son of the late Charles and Marie Broughton Lambert. Joe is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Margo Clemente Lambert; son Tom (Renee) Lambert; grandsons Brendan (Kristen) and Patrick Lambert; as well as great-grandchildren Brooklyn and Amelia Lambert.

Joe served in the US Air Force and had a lengthy career as a counselor for the Connecticut Department of Corrections.  His hobby of woodworking didn’t just keep Joe busy, it was a creative outlet, and he owned the former Sawdust Joe's, a decorative painting studio in the West Haven area. 

Joe was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  His life gave lasting memories as a soldier, counselor, and volunteer.  In death, we will cherish you eternally.

Arrangements were entrusted to West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. All services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the veteran’s organization of your choosing.
