Joseph “Joe” Pacelli, 68, passed away peacefully on February 17th with his family by his side after a long-term illness. He was born in West Haven, CT on August 28, 1956, son of the late Louis and Mary Pacelli. Joe was a lifelong resident of West Haven and Hamden. Joe loved watching Yankees baseball, fishing, cooking and playing softball. He worked for Coit Cleaning Services and as a contract painter for several years. He was the owner of Full House Café and Dylan’s Café in West Haven.
He is survived by his beloved children, Dylan, Nicolas, and Caroline Pacelli, who were his pride and joy. He also leaves behind his brothers, Nicholas Pacelli and Louis (Chris) Pacelli and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss him. Joseph was predeceased by his parents Louis and Mary Pacelli, his sister, Anna Teresio DiLorenzo, his brother, Raymond Pacelli, and his sisters-in-law, Lucille, and Marygrace Pacelli.
Visitation will take place on Monday February 24 from 9 to 11 o’clock at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A parlor service will begin at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
