Josephine Passariello, age 95, of West Haven passed away on June 4th, 2022 at CT Hospice. She was born on June 14, 1926 (Flag Day) daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria Faraci Lorello. Josephine grew up in The Hill section of New Haven. She was very religious like her mother and was greatly involved with St. Anthony’s Church. Josephine always worked at the church carnivals and “pin the money on the statue” inside the church. She was a member of the West Haven Italian American Club and volunteered at the adult day care center. Josephine enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles and old movies of her era. She was a good sewer, like her mother, and enjoyed being a homemaker. Josephine was a nice person and gave everyone the benefit of the doubt.
She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, William “Bill” Passariello, 5 brothers and sisters, Michael, James and Chuck Lorello, Betty Treadwell and Mary Criscuolo. She is survived by her son Bill Passariello and her daughters JoAnn (Richard) Deck and Laura Passariello.
Visitation will he held on Tuesday June 14th from 8:30-9:30am at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony’s Church at 10am. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
