Judith (Lawson) Andranovich

Judith Lawson Andranovich, 84 years young, of West Haven passed away peacefully in her sleep at ARK in Branford on September 18, 2025.  Born in New Haven, CT on October 21, 1941, to the late Robert and Phyllis (Tuscano) Lawson, Sr.  Devoted mother to William “Billy” (Paula) Andranovich, Jr. and Heath (Susan) Andranovich and adoring grandmother of William Makism Andranovich Jr., and Francesca and Carmine Andranovich.  Also survived by her brother Kenneth “Duke” (Nancy) Lawson and sister Carole Buonocore. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by brother Robert Lawson Jr. and sister Joan “Dusty” Hanford.

Judy was the owner of Golden Comb Beauty Salon for many years; served in the kitchens at Yale University; and truly enjoyed working in her son’s restaurant, Carmine’s Pizza and Italian Take-Out as well as Carmine’s Frozen Pizza.  She was passionate about hair and beauty care and was an enthusiastic animal lover.  Her children describe her as funny, sassy, giving, loving and kind. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a proud grandma to her grandchildren.  

The hours for visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 5 to 6:30 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.  A prayer service will be held in the funeral parlor at 6:30 pm.  Interment will be private.
