Karl Oliver Knobloch, Jr., 89, of North Haven, entered into rest on December 15, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Mae DeFilippi Knobloch and the son of the late Karl and Edna (Farquharson) Knobloch. He is survived by his children and their spouses: Mark Knobloch (Annette), Karen Flynn (William), and Debra Pelosi (Michael). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Michael Knobloch, Jonathan Knobloch (Samantha), Courtney Flynn, Michael Pelosi, and Lauren Pelosi.
Karl graduated from Nichols College and later earned a degree in Turf Management from the University of Massachusetts. He was well known in the community as the Golf Course Superintendent at Orange Hills Country Club, making many lifelong friends. An avid sports enthusiast, Karl excelled in football, baseball, and hockey during his school years. As time went on, he embraced new passions including horseshoes, golf, pool, and fishing. Above all, Karl treasured time spent with his children and grandchildren. Whether tossing a ball, sharing a lesson, or enjoying a fishing trip, he brought patience, joy, and laughter to every moment together.
Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the West Haven Funeral Home, followed by a parlor service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), now known as Breakthrough T1D.
