Kathleen Anne Conlan (née Bowen)
October 5, 1953 – September 2, 2024

Kathleen Anne Conlan, beloved wife of the late Ronald James Conlan, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024 at Saint Raphaels Hospital in New Haven, CT. Born on October 5, 1953, in Chelsea, Massachusetts, Kathleen grew up in her hometown and later pursued her education at Boston College. She also worked for the Boston Globe.

As a devoted mother, Kathleen's greatest joy was her twin sons, Kevin John Conlan and Matthew Dennis Conlan, whom she loved unconditionally. Kathleen was the cherished daughter of the late Dennis John Bowen Jr. and Lillian Mary Bowen (née Wedge). She is fondly remembered as a loving sister to Dennis Bowen of Florida, Kevin Bowen and his wife Mary of Rhode Island, Eileen Reddington and her husband Jack of Woburn, MA, Barbara Bowen and her significant other Joe Wilton of New Hampshire, and the late Christine Bowen. Kathleen was a proud aunt to her nieces, Jessica Bowen Falzone, Vanessa McGrath, Olivia and Julia Bowen, and her nephew, Dennis Bowen. She also had a brother-in-law, John Joseph Conlan, his wife Kathy, and their children Brian and Cristopher Conlan and Aimee Conlan Altemus.

 Her compassionate spirit was evident in her dedication to famine relief efforts in Haiti during the 1980s and her deep love for animals, which brought her much joy throughout her life. Kathleen’s warmth, kindness, and enduring love for her family and friends will be deeply missed. Her legacy of compassion and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

The hours for visitation will take place on Friday morning September 6, 2024 from 9 to 10:30.  Funeral services will begin at 10:30 at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.  Donations may be made to the West Haven Community House.
