Kathleen A. Savoia, 77, of West Haven, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 22, 2025. Born in New Haven on September 14, 1947, a daughter of the late Edward and Alice Hyer Turbert. Additionally preceded in death by her in-laws Margaret and Louis Babe Savoia; as well as siblings Patricia McNeil, Edward D. Turbert, Brian Turbert, and Kathleen Savoia Lennon. Survived by her devoted husband of fifty-five years, Joseph D. Savoia; loving children Jennifer (Shawn) Coggins and Joseph M. (Kimberly) Savoia; beloved grandchildren Alexis, Branden, and Corey Coggins, as well as Sophia and Stella Savoia; siblings Cheryl (Thomas) Buban, Kevin (Francine) Turbert, Steven Turbert, Gary (Karen) Turbert, Kenneth (Nancy) Turbert, Susan Mallinson Turbert, and brothers-in-law William (Jeanne) Savoia and Gene Lennon.
A cherished and dedicated home daycare provider for thirty years, Kathleen loved nothing more than spending time with children, especially her own family. Her fondest memories were made honoring holiday traditions, traveling with her family, and supporting her children and grandchildren in their various activities. Her love for family, kindness, and generosity will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
Arrangements have been entrusted to West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 26th, from 10am to noon, at which time her funeral service will commence in the funeral parlor. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.
