Kathleen Tirollo, 85, a lifelong resident of Orange passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 12, 2025. Born in New Haven on April 16, 1940, to Walter and Agnes Monck, she was the youngest of six siblings. Kathleen married her high school sweetheart and soulmate, Joseph Tirollo Jr. Together they spent 64 joyous years building their family legacy in Orange. She graduated from Amity Regional High School in 1957. She cherished her time as an administrative assistant for Amity Regional School District where she touched and organized the lives of many, always with a smile. Kathleen and Joseph spent many days in their vacation homes in Vermont, Cape Cod, and Florida where they built deep and abiding friendships. Playing cards and games with her friends, crocheting, baking, and crafting were a few of her hobbies. She cherished her time spent with each of her grandchildren and took great pride in all their accomplishments. She found great joy in being present at their activities and was their biggest supporter!
In addition to her husband Joseph, Kathleen’s family includes son Michael (Marygrace) Tirollo, daughter Linda (Eric) DeCesare, son Joseph (Amy) Tirollo III, five granddaughters Amy, Kimberly, Emma, Abigail, and Caroline, three grandsons Griffin, Michael, and Kevin, her older brother, many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends including MaryJane Roy and Judy Hatrick. While in Florida, she enjoyed spending time with her group of friends, especially Marilyn Lombardo. Kathleen was preceded in death by four siblings.
The hours for visitation will take place on Sunday August 17 from 4 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home. On Monday morning a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Infant Church at 11 o’clock. There will be no burial at this time.
