Kay Bauer

Kay Bauer, age 59, of New Haven passed away suddenly at home on January 25, 2024. She was born in Tuxedo, NY, daughter of the late Carl and Bertha Rathjens Bauer.  Kay is survived by her son Leonard Bauer of New Haven, stepson Robert Mignosa of New Haven, brother Carl Bauer and his life partner Gisella of CT, and her former wife Donna Mignosa of New Haven. For many years, Kay was a well-loved employee at Silver Hills Hospital, where she was a psychiatric technician. She was a gifted and talented musician, music was her passion. Kay was a loving parent and a kindhearted human being whom the world will miss. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Kay's memory to the Transgender Law Center at www.transgenderlawcenter.org.
