Linda R (Florio) Apuzzo

Linda R. Apuzzo (Florio), 80, of West Haven passed away on January 17, 2026, at Yale New Haven Hospital. Linda was born on April 18, 1945, to the late Joseph and Mary Florio.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, George Apuzzo; her daughters Victoria (John Jr.) Szostek, Michelle (Edward) Piascik, Jo-Ann Apuzzo; and one grandson, who was the light of her life, Benjamin Piascik. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Maryann Bermudez.

Before her retirement, Linda worked at Banner Systems (formerly in Milford) for 30 years, leaving to help care for her grandson when he was born. Being a grandmother was one of the greatest highlights of her life and she would do anything for her grandson. Linda loved watching the New York Yankees, soap operas and had a passion for scratch tickets. She never met a stranger, could always be counted on to tell a bad joke at the wrong times and dedicated her life to caring for her youngest daughter, who was also her best friend. The loss of Linda will be felt by all of those who knew and loved her.

Friends and family may call to the West Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday January 27, 2026 from 4-7 PM
