Linda Alogna Butler, age 71, of Branford, formerly of West Haven, passed away suddenly at home on May 12, 2021. For 51 years, she was the loving wife of James E. Butler. Linda was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Leonard and Lena Cloutier Alogna. She is also survived by her beloved children, Jim L. (Lisa) Butler of Cheshire and Christopher (Joyce) Butler of RI, her cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Caylee, Amelia and Sarah, her loving sister Leigh (William) Alogna Duff of FL and her devoted grand dogs Rocky and Finley. Linda attended and graduated from Lauralton Hall and Rittner's School of Floral Design. She was an accomplished florist for S.H. Moore's for many years, and worked for S.N.E.T. in customer service, prior to her retirement. Linda was a longtime parishioner of the Church of St. Louis and was active in many groups with the church and school. She also was a volunteer for CT Hospice.
The hours for visitation will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 9:15 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. John Bosco Parish, St. Mary Church, Branford. Interment will be private. Donations may be made in Linda’s name to CT Hospice 100 Double Beach Rd. Branford, CT 06405.
