Lois M. Dunphy, age 74, of West Haven passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in New Haven, daughter of the late John and Louise Pospesil Miller. Lois is survived by her loving children, Michael (Erin) Dunphy II of Newburyport, Massachusetts and Jeanine (Tom Clement) Dunphy of West Haven, her former husband Michael Dunphy of West Haven, her adoring grandchildren Fiona, Abbie, and Michael III., her cherished siblings, John (Anna Mary) Miller of North Haven, Lorraine Centi of NV, her loving nieces and nephews, her “adopted” daughter Michelle Caprio, and her countless friends and their endless love and support.
Prior to her retirement, Lois worked for over 20 years for Dr. William Driscoll. Finally, Lois enjoyed nothing more than time with family, including traveling throughout New England making friends wherever she went.
Lois was grateful to all her nurses at Smilow Cancer Center, especially her APRN, Carol Staugaard, who carefully cared for her throughout this journey, giving her hope every step of the way.
