Lois Salamon Obituary

Lois M. Salamon, age 94, of West Haven, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2019. She was the wife of the late Frank P. Salamon. Lois is survived by her daughters, Susan (Dave) Mortensen, and Patricia (Steven) Wolfson, granddaughter, Amy (Doug) Gmyrek and great grandchildren Nathan & Natalie. In addition to her husband, Lois was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Gardner.

For 31 years, Lois worked in the alumni records department at Yale University, retiring in 1989. She was a proud member of The Yale Club. Lois was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church.

Visitation will take place at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green on Monday morning from 9 to 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 o’clock in Our Lady of Victory Church. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum, St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Griffin Hospital Development Fund for the Beautification of the Healing Gardens, 130 Division Street, Derby, CT 06410.
