Lorraine Delores Repnin

Lorraine D. Repnin, age 87, of West Haven, CT passed away December 7th, 2023. She is now in the eternal rest and comfort of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents Charlotte (Jeracka) and Joseph Janicke, and her husband Leonid Repnin. She is survived by her children Leon (Marlene) Repnin of Palm Coast Fl., Anne (David) Samhammer of Middletown, Ct., and John Repnin of West Haven. She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael Schaffer; Jessica, Daniel, David Jr., and Elizabeth Samhammer; Pamela, Jonathan, and Emily Repnin.

Lorraine was a life-long Parishioner of Our Lady of Victory Church in West Haven, CT and was one of the first babies baptized there, after the church opened.

Lorraine enjoyed a full and happy life surrounded by her family, celebrating holidays, and enjoying family vacations like camping in Vermont or trips to Florida. Any time family could be together it was a celebration of life. She held several jobs throughout her life, but the one she loved the most and was best known for was teaching children piano for over 30 years. She was also a champion Chinese checker player and loved playing the game with her grandchildren.

Lorraine will always be in our hearts, and she will be dearly missed.
