Louise (Petretto) Shea

Louise Petretto Shea, 97, of West Haven, entered into eternal rest on October 16, 2024 after a long and fruitful life. She was the beloved wife of the late George E. Shea Jr. Wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, Louise was the proud matriarch of a loving family. She leaves behind her sons Richard (Kathy) Shea and George (Cheryl) Shea, her siblings Joseph Petretto and Antoinette Faticone, three adored grandchildren Nicholas Shea, Kelly (Tyler) Munro and Aaron Shea, a precious great-grandson Nolan Munro, her devoted long time caregiver Donna Cunningham and many cherished nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her siblings Alan Petretto, Lena Hutchinson and Carmine Petretto. After raising her family, Louise followed her passion for hairdressing, leading to a long career “doing hair” for hundreds of clients including many celebrities and Shubert Theater thespians.

In accordance with Louise’s wishes, services will be private. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
