Marie T. (Crisafi) Recardo

Marie T. Recardo, 95, of West Haven died on April 30, 2023, at St. Raphael Hospital.  Born in New Haven on July 18, 1927, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Concetta (Crisafi) Genovese.  Survived by daughter Cheryl (Ralph) Cavallaro of Hamden; son Ronald (Diane) Recardo of Florida; grandchildren Jeffrey (Marissa) Cavallaro, Michael (Jillian) Cavallaro, and Dylan Recardo; great grandchildren Cara, Lily, and Giulia; as well as nephew Nicholas (Andrea) Carlino.  Predeceased by her beloved husband of over 55 years, John Joseph Recardo; as well as sister Anita Genovese Carlino.

Marie was one who appreciated the simple things in life, her family and faith being of highest priority throughout.  A quintessential homemaker, she took great pleasure and pride in her role.  Marie was known to be fiercely independent as well as a homebody, lovingly cooking over the decades for her growing family, with whom she adored spending time.  She will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, from 8:30 to 10:30, at which time her formal procession will depart the funeral home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 o’clock, in St. Michael Church, Wooster Square, New Haven.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
