Marilyn Louise Crotta Daggett, daughter of the late Francis and Irene Crotta of West Haven was born in New Haven, CT on June 30,1953. She was born and raised in West Haven and was a long-time resident of Branford when she passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital. Marilyn graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a B.A. in English. She was a Probate Court Clerk for many years before embarking on a career in financial planning, ultimately retiring from Morgan Stanley in New Haven. She leaves behind her son, John Daggett and 4 siblings: Frank Crotta, of FL, Karen Faulkner of Leander, TX, Michael Crotta of Lakeside, CT and Robert Crotta of West Haven, CT. and 6 nieces and nephews, one grandniece and one great grandnephew. Marilyn had a lifelong love of animals, most especially dogs of all kinds. She enjoyed spending time walking and playing with her pets and the local police dogs.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 11th, from 11 to 1pm, at which time a service will take place in the funeral parlor. Interment will be private.
