Mark J. Comeau

Mark J. Comeau, 68, passed away on December 24, 2023, at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long illness. Born on July 24, 1955, he was the son of the late Frank and Irene Matteo Comeau. Mark is survived by his six siblings: Cathy (David) Higgins of Altamonte Springs, FL; Patty (Kobe) Kelley of Leland, NC; Mary (Milton) Petrou of Chester, SC; Greg Comeau of Orange, CT; Carrie (Jeff) Piazza of Lagos, Portugal; PJ (Yayoi) Fox of Shoreline, WA. He is survived by 19 nieces and nephews, a cousin, Paula Idarola, and a dear family friend, Jeanne Dubin. Mark was predeceased by a sister, Denise Mirto, and a brother, Francis Fox. Mark grew up in Orange and retired from Yale University where he worked in the computer room as a computer operator. Mark was an avid golfer. He was a graduate of Amity Sr High in Woodbridge where he was a member of the golf team. He enjoyed many years of golfing in North Carolina with his brother, Fran, and in Florida with his nephew Jeff Couchman. A private burial is being planned by the family. The family would like to thank the many doctors at Yale as well as the SICU nurses and staff for their loving care of Mark.
