Marquita D. Vallee

Marquita “Marge” D. Vallee, age 89, of New Haven passed away on February 28, 2024.  Born in New Haven, daughter of the late James and Bertha Lucas Dade.  She is survived by her brother James Dade and his wife Joan of New Jersey and her cousin William Lucas and his wife Gail of Hamden.  Marquita worked at the Hospital of St. Raphael, in the finance department, until her retirement. 

A profound animal lover, Marquita had 17 cats and 1 dog seek her out through the years.  Playing the piano, going to the movies, and the theater were always special.  Travels included multiple trips to Norway, Denmark, Canada, and California, along with New York City which she visited often.  Daily walking in Wooster Square in her later years, made her feel she was truly home. Knowing that it was the citizens of her father’s birthplace, Gioia Sannitica, Italy. Who were among the first settlers of Wooster Square.
