Martin "Marty" Sarno

Martin Sarno, 86, formerly of East Haven entered into rest on December 20, 2024.  Marty’s family includes his son Michael and wife Johnna, daughter Lisa and her husband Vincent Fischer, and two granddaughters Samantha and Jenna.  He was predeceased by his siblings Marie Barnaccio and Joseph Sarno.

Although, a man of few words, Marty maintained many friendships throughout his life.  He worked as a tire builder for the former Armstrong Rubber Co. and drove limousines for many years. Marty served in the US Navy, post Korean War.  A favorite pastime was going to the track to watch the horses run and sometimes place a wager.

On Thursday January 9, 2025, friends may gather with Marty’s family at the West Haven Funeral Home from 5 to 7 pm to reminisce about his life.
