Mary (Caponera) Potenziani

Mary Caponera Potenziani, 93, formerly of West Haven, entered into rest in Tinton Falls, New Jersey on December 22, 2021. Mary moved to be near her son, Dr. Ernest Potenziani II and her daughter-in-law Mary-Lloyd in 2020. Additional family includes two adored granddaughters Kathryn (Michael) Nesci and Isabella Potenziani and three precious great grandchildren, Eleanor, Michael and Sabrina Nesci. Mary is predeceased by her husband Ernest Potenziani Sr. and her siblings Ernestine Vegliante and Angelo Caponera. Many years ago, Mary worked for A.C. Gilbert and the PEZ Corporation.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 29 from 9 to 10:30 am at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 o’clock in St. Lawrence Church.  Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum, St. Lawrence Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
