MaryAnn (Shields) Fabbri

MaryAnn Fabbri, 82, beloved wife of sixty-one years to Armand Fabbri, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026. A daughter of the late Henry and Marion Little Shields, MaryAnn was born in New Haven, on April 20, 1944. She attended St. Mary’s High School in New Haven and then  Southern CT. University. After graduation, MaryAnn and Armand started a family in West Haven.  With her children off to school, she began a teaching career at St. Raphael’s in Bridgeport and St. Mark’s in Stratford. She retired early to care for her grandchildren who affectionately called her Meme. Her most cherished moments were spent traveling to Disneyworld for over four decades, endless trips to Cape Cod, attending her grandchildren’s sports events from grade school to college and socializing with friends and extended family.

Survivors include her husband Armand, son Paul Fabbri and his wife Patricia, daughter Suzanne Tamallanca and her husband Philip, her adored grandchildren Carly, Tim, AJ, Annie, and Paul Henry and her cousin Joan Gatturna.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday May 27 from 4 to 6:30 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home.  A parlor service will begin at the funeral home at 6:30.
