In loving memory of Mary Jane David, of West Haven, who passed away peacefully on May 4, 2021. The devoted wife of Jeffrey A. David, she leaves behind her twin Donna L. Myatt, her son Charles A. Passaro, her daughter Melinda A. David, her grandchildren, Alyssa, Anthony, Alex, Skyla, and great-granddaughter, Caitlin. Mary Jane loved her family and her pets, as well as all animals. Mary once rescued a skunk in peril. Mary Jane spent most of her adult life battling neurofibromatosis (NF2). She was a fighter, and never gave up hope; she always welcomed each day and lived for her family. Mary Jane volunteered at Girl Scouts Camp Katoya, where she made lasting memories and was proud of her accomplishments; she always put everyone before herself. Mary Jane will always be remembered for her kindhearted spirit, and courageous battle against NF2. She never let this define her as a person. We will always have her in our hearts, and she will never be forgotten.
Visitation will take place on Friday, May 7 from 4 – 8PM at West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. On Saturday, May 8, beginning at 9:30AM, her family will speak words of remembrance at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Masks must be worn at all indoor events. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Jane’s name should be made to Neurofibromatosis Northeast, www.nfnortheast.org. .
