Maryann (Repoley) Ardolino, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 21st at 79 years old, surrounded by her family and the love she so generously gave throughout her life. A lifelong resident of West Haven, Maryann graduated from West Haven High School, where she cultivated the warmth and kindness that endeared her to all who knew her.
Maryann was the cherished wife of John Ardolino and the devoted mother of Craig Ardolino and Jaime (Brendan) Ardolino. She was a loving stepmother to Louis (Susan) Ardolino and John Ardolino, with whom she shared a special bond. Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother to Luke, Lauren, Colleen, and Wyatt Ardolino, each of whom she adored deeply.
Born to the late Orfino and Mollie Repoley, Maryann was the proud sister of Robert Repoley and Nancy Repoley.
For many years, Maryann was a dedicated employee of the West Haven Police Department, where she loved her work and the camaraderie of her colleagues. Known for her warm and welcoming presence, she also maintained a respectful and secure environment, earning admiration for her balanced and considerate approach. Her time at the department was a source of pride and fulfillment, and she cherished the relationships she built there.
Maryann’s passions extended beyond her work and family. She was an ardent animal lover, with a special fondness for her dog, Lucy, who brought her immense comfort and companionship. She found joy in travel, especially visiting her daughter in Florida, and was a lifelong fan of Betty Boop, whose playful spirit matched her own.
Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of Maryann's life will be held on Wednesday, January 15th from 4-7pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor her memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
Rest in peace, Maryann. You are forever in our hearts.
