Maureen (Jason) English

Maureen J. English, age 77, of West Haven passed away at CT Hospice with her family at her side on February 11, 2024.  Maureen was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Walter and Catherine Comiskey Jason.  She is survived by her devoted children, her daughter Michelle Taylor of Myrtle Beach, SC and her son Billy English and his wife Danielle Applegate of West Haven, her adoring grandchildren Shawn Taylor, Ethan English, and Ashlyn Taylor.  Maureen is also predeceased by her brother Walter Jason. 

Maureen enjoyed her professional career, where she worked at AT&T and then for the Knights of Columbus. In her spare time, she was a member on the board as well as Historian of Wayne Newton and his fan club. She also loved crocheting at her cousin’s house, on her weekly visits.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 9-10:30 at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.  A funeral service will commence at the funeral home at 10:30. Interment will be private.
