Michael John Cenotti

Michael John Cenotti, 69, of Coral Springs, Florida (formerly of West Haven and East Haddam) died on February 1, 2025.  Born in New Haven to Angelo Cenotti and Barbara Bailey Cenotti on May 13, 1955.  Mike is survived by his adoring wife of 47 beautiful years, Debbie Spragg Cenotti; children Barbara (Keith) Snow, Christopher (Amelia) Cenotti, Lisa (Jason) Bendas, Diane Cenotti; grandchildren Jason Cenotti, Rhys Snow, Ryan Snow, Jillian Snow, Abigail Cenotti, Connor Cenotti, Vivienne Bendas; sisters Angela McKenney, Joanne Durand, and Donna Canfield; brothers Daniel Cenotti, and Angelo Cenotti; and treasured doodle, Bob. 

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother John Michael Cenotti.

From a very early age, Mike felt a special connection with the beach and Long Island Sound, then later the ocean.  Family vacations brought him contentment, excitement, and joy.  Mike was especially fond of Virginia Beach and Aruba and was happiest when boating and fishing.

After graduating high school, Mike had a career of 44 years in the field of metallurgy (the science of working with metals) retiring in 2019 as General Manager of Bodycote Heat Treating in Waterbury. 

Mike’s Florida dreams were realized when he and Debbie moved to Coral Springs in 2019.  Mike kept a healthy balance of relaxing at the beach and the action of casinos, horse races and NASCAR.  While at home, Mike also loved cooking for his loved ones, and to enjoy his Captain (with lemon, of course).

Mike’s zest for life and love for his family, friends, and long-time coworkers will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Arrangements were entrusted to West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.  Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 9th from noon to 3 o’clock.  His funeral will be held on Monday, February 10th at 10 o’clock at the funeral home.  Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, 817 Campbell Avenue, West Haven, will follow.
