Migdalia Rabell received her wings on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023 and went to walk with the angels after a courageous battle against cancer, surrounded by her loved ones at home. It'd be wrong to say that Migdalia lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly looks like.
Migdalia was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on August 7, 1970 to Olga E. Vega and the late Jose Cruz. Migdalia was mother to Jessica Reyes, Juni Caseres and Joseline Cedillo (Goddaughter but seen as daughter to Migdalia). Along with her dear son-in-law Michael Aponte. As a stay-at-home mom, Migdalia was known for her love, support, and guidance. She had a true calling for motherhood to her children, nieces, and nephews. She nurtured the heart of each one of them with all her soul, mind, and strength. Her greatest virtue was making you feel loved and special with the sparkle in her green eyes and infectious smile and laugh that can light up any room.
She was most proud of her devotion to her Lord and Savior, who guided her into the most passionate mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She found a second family within Promise Land Church, where she was blessed with sister friends and they shared unforgettable moments together.
She is survived by her beautiful grandchildren, Skylar and Gianna Aponte. Caring sister to Daisy Rabell, Brother-in-law, Larry Etolue Sr., sister Madeline Rabell and brother Hector David Rabell. Thoughtful titi (aunt) to Larry jr. Etolue, Mariah Etolue, Kassim Etolue, Arianna Etolue, David Jr. Rabell, Megan Rabell, Jasmine Rios, Samantha Rios, and Brandon DeSimone. Aside from immediate family she is survived by her dear Compadres Jenny Aguirre and Oscar Cedillo. Loved by all, Migdalia is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday December 14th from 9-10am at the Promise Land Church of God, 240 Burwell Rd. West Haven. A Funeral Service will then commence at the church at 10am. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
