Mildred "Mickey" Acker

Mildred Acker, age 94, of West Haven passed away on April 29, 2023.  For 53 years she was the loving wife of the late Edward J. Acker.  Mildred was born in New Haven, daughter of the late John and Anna Miller Quinn.  She is survived by her children, Joanne Acker DeLillo of West Haven, Nancy Acker of West Haven, David Acker of FL, Donald Acker and his wife Vicki of Orange, Timothy Acker and his wife Sherry of North Haven, and John Acker of West Haven, her 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and her siblings, Leroy “Butch” Quinn of East Haven and Warren “Pudgie” Quinn of West Haven.  In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was also predeceased by her brother Ronald “Pat” Quinn. 

Mildred was a devoted parishioner of the former St. Paul’s Church.  She volunteered her time and energy to the church, attended many of its social events and outing trips.  Mildred could always be found at the weekly bingo in the church basement.

The hours for visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-7pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, a funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 7pm.  Interment will be private.
