Norine Catherine Withington

Norine Withington, 85, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2023. She was born in New Haven and was a long-time resident of West Haven. Daughter of the late Victor and Catherine Codianne Riccio. Norine is survived by her daughter Catherine Withington of Orange. She was the best Grandma to her grandchildren Craig (Kendelle) Ingram of Hanover, Massachusetts, Christopher Ingram (Annie Smith) of Willington, Emily Ingram (Bill Marquis) of North Haven, and Ashley Ingram of Orange, and a beloved Nonnie to her great grandchildren Connor, Parker, Teagan, and Wyatt. 

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings, William Riccio, Annette Sliby, Richard Riccio, and Roberta Calandro.
Norine was a hard worker her entire life. She was also a tough fighter, battling many health issues over the years and surviving cancer twice. 
Her grandchildren will always remember staying up late for sleepovers and going out for breakfast the next day, loud Christmas Eve holidays with an endless amount of seafood, teaching us how to drive, and her mischievous humor that they’ve all inherited. 

The hours for visitation will be held on Thursday October 19th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Her procession will depart the funeral home on Friday October 20th at 9:30AM, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Infant Church at 10AM. Interment will be private. Donations to the American Cancer Society (https://www.cancer.org/donate.html) are welcome in lieu of flowers.
