Patricia M. Hines

Patricia M. Hines, 88, of West Haven entered into eternal rest on April 10, 2024.  A daughter of the late Thomas E. and Sophie Hines, Pat was also predeceased by her brother Thomas Jr., and friends who were like family, Bertha and Larry Torto Sr. For many years Patricia worked at the West Haven Veterans Hospital and later for the State of CT., both in a clerical capacity. Extremely proud of her Irish heritage, Pat was also a devout Red Sox fan. Tap Tap, as she was affectionately known by her beloved friends, the Torto family, Larry Torto and Linda Sekac, Jon, Lawrence III, Victoria and Campbell Torto and Jennifer Torto Wood and their families will forever miss her presence in their lives. 

On Wednesday April 17, 2024 visitation will take place at the West Haven Funeral Home from 8:30 to 9:30.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary Church of Blessed Michael McGivney Parish, 5 Hillhouse Ave., New Haven at 10 o’clock.  Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oxford Special Olympics c/o Maureen Blees, 13 Lisbon Terr., Oxford, CT 06478.
