Patricia (Ayres) McGovern

Patricia Ayres McGovern, 80, of West Haven died peacefully on February 23, 2026, at Milford Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of the late Paul J. McGovern. Daughter of the late Ronald W. and Anna Carofano Ayres, Pat lived in West Haven most of her life.  She leaves her brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Fayne Ayres; cousins Theresa and Cataldo Cerillo; and nieces Denice Ford and Robin Falanga.

Pat retired from PEZ Candy, Orange where she worked as a packer until retirement.  For many years, she was an active communicant at the Church of St. Louis and sang in the choir.

Visitation will take place at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green on Wednesday March 4 from 4 to 7pm. A prayer service will begin at 6:30 in the funeral parlor.
