Patricia (Tirollo) Riccio

Patricia Riccio, 85 of West Haven, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2024, after years of living with dementia. Born in New Haven on March 1, 1939, she was the daughter of Vito Tirollo and Esther Barile Tirollo.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Richard Riccio, Sr. and her son, Paul Riccio. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Nicolas Magliulo, Marie Ulles, Lucille Tirollo, Gloria Brewster, and Jane Tirollo.

She is survived by her daughter, Gina Riccio, her son Richard Riccio, Jr., and her sister Antoinette DeLucca.

She is also survived by granddaughter Alicia Riccio Roldan and her husband James Roldan, and granddaughter Anastasia Riccio.

Patricia leaves behind 5 great grandchildren, Sophia Simmons, Annamarie Maselli, Braelyn Roldan, Evan Roldan, and Anthony Maselli, as well as a great-great granddaughter, Everlee Alling. She also leaves behind her favorite niece, Marcella Zullo.

Patricia worked in the food service industry for many years before retiring. She was devoted to her family and was always there for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed hosting holiday dinners for family and is best remembered for her delicious homemade manicotti and escarole and meatball soup that she made only once a year at Christmas.

She was a lifelong animal lover. She especially loved cats and was a dedicated cat mom to many felines throughout her lifetime. Her current cat Jake, who she adored, will miss her dearly.

Patricia was well loved by her family and will be greatly missed. We love you mom.

A special thank you to her son Richard, who has lived with and taken care of her for the past few years.

Arrangements have been entrusted to West Haven Funeral Home, 662 Savin Avenue, West Haven.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, November 5th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Burial will be private at the request of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
