Pauline DeRosa, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Pauline was born on July 7, 1943 at Bridgeport Hospital to the late Paul Wallick and Ruth Bevan Wallick. She grew up in Monroe, attended Masuk High School followed by completing her associate’s degree in accounting at Sacred Heart University. In 1965 Pauline met the love of her life, the late Carmen “Tom” DeRosa at the Savin Rock Amusement Park (West Haven Speedway). Tom and Pauline were married at St. Paul’s Church on May 14,1966, her husband’s birthday. Pauline worked as an accountant/bookkeeper her entire adult life for Olive Mechanical, Domus Contemporary Interiors, First Place Management and was a huge part of her husband’s business Westville Crest Plumbing & Heating.
Pauline was known for her vivacious personality and care for all. During her long-running Fourth of July picnics you could find her in the kitchen laughing and preparing food for all her family and friends. Every Thanksgiving evening she excitedly played pinochle or setback for hours. Pauline was a long-running member of the Monday Night Co-Ed Bowling League and was known for her spunky team spirit. She always had a book nearby and later her kindle was her ever-present travel companion. She was the biggest fan of all her children and grandchildren and attended countless hockey tournaments, baseball games, swim meets, and skating competitions. Pauline was a lifetime lover of animals, especially dogs. We know she is now surrounded by her late pups Murphy, Woody, and Louie to name a few.
Pauline is survived by her sister Ruth Wallick and brother David Wallick (Kathleen), sister-in-law Ann Mary Gargamelli, children Pauline Ann (DeRosa) Fagan, Christine Marie (Patrick Noone) DeRosa, Paul Thomas (Brooke) DeRosa, John Joseph DeRosa and her grandchildren Sara Jane Fagan, Ian Henry Fagan, Tyler Nathan DeRosa, Claire Antoinette DeRosa, and Juliana Carmen Noone, nieces & nephews Thomas DeRosa, Mary DeRosa, Ruth Ann Allen, James O'Connell, Christopher Gargamelli, Karen Gargemelli-McCreight; Heather Wallick, and Melissa (Wallick) Urban.
