Ralph B. Tagliatela, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 26th at the age of 74. Born in 1949 in New Haven, he was predeceased by his parents, Louis “Red” and Mary Pisano Tagliatela and his wife Patty Tagliatela. Ralph is survived by his children Nicholas (Tara Plumlee) Tagliatela, Greg (Brandi) Edwards and Renee Segnatelli (Frank Pagan), as well as grandsons Andrew, Kaben and Santino, his brothers Anthony (Lorraine), Louis (Nancy) and Lawrence (Gayle) Tagliatela as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition, he leaves his former wife and remarkable caretaker, Deborah Tagliatela with whom he resided. We are forever grateful for her love, compassion and kindness.
Ralph retired from Metro-North Railroad. He lived most of his life in West Haven and Las Vegas before settling in Clearwater FL in his final years. Ralph had a heart of gold and a sense of humor to match. To know him was to love him. He never had a harsh word for anyone. We will profoundly miss him for the wonderful man he was, but we are comforted to know he has been reunited with his loved ones who have passed before him.
Services for Ralph will be private and at the family’s discretion.
