Richard Francis Guarnieri, age 98 of Milford passed away on May 22, 2026. Husband of the late Mary Doyle Guarnieri, he was born in West Haven, July 26, 1927, son of the late Marino and Elizabeth Casey Guarnieri. Richard was a slipcover and drapery specialist and partner with the Edward Bernard Company. He served in the Army during World War II and was a past member of the West Haven Elks #1537.
He is survived by his daughter Lynn (Dave) Baillargeon; his grandchildren, Ashley Baillargeon; Ryan (Edina) Houston and Kyle Houston; great grandsons Ryan Jr. and Saint Houston, and son-in-law Michael Houston, along with several nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Richard is predeceased by his daughters Karen Houston and Beth Guarnieri, his siblings James and William Guarnieri, Dorothy Smullen and Alice Connors.
Richard will be remembered for his love of lottery tickets, cigars, and the family dogs.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Orange Health Care Center for their compassionate care Richard was provided over the years.
A graveside service will be held on June 15, 2026 at 11 am at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry Street, Milford.
