Richard J. Pisani Sr.

Richard J. Pisani Sr., age 79, of Shelton, passed away, with his family at his side, on August 9, 2024. For 54 years, he was the loving husband of the late Linda Buffo Pisani. Richard was born in New Haven, a son of the late Salvatore and Faye Celentano Pisani. He is survived by his children, Richard Pisani and his fiancée, Jill DeWerdt of Milford, and Lisa (Vince) Scifo of Ft. Myers, FL, his grandsons, Jack and Brett Pisani and Michael Scifo.  Richard is also survived by his brothers, Ralph (Lorriane) Pisani of Middletown, his twin Ronald (Camille) Pisani of West Haven, and Robert (Lois) Pisani of Wallingford, as well as many nieces and nephews.  

Richard was a proud US Army Veteran, who served in Vietnam.  In his professional career, he ran a sales route for State Line.  He was a member of the Shelton VFW, he volunteered at the Spooner House, and loved to visit antique car shows. Family was an especially important part of Richard’s life. He enjoyed watching his grandsons play hockey and baseball as well as traveling with his late wife; they enjoyed trips to Italy, Hawaii, and Myrtle Beach. Upon their retirement, they purchased a home in Florida and traveled back and forth for many years.  

Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A funeral service will commence at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in St. Lawrence Garden Mausoleum.
