Robert W. Ayers

Robert Ayers Sr. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on the morning of March 8, 2020 at St. Raphael Hospital. Robert was born in Bridgeport, CT on August 24, 1927. He is survived by his wife Eileen Rainke Ayers, his daughter Joanne and husband Ed Kerr, his son James Ayers and wife Kathleen Ayers, his son Robert (Kathleen) Ayers Jr. and their six children, his granddaughters Jessica Kerr, Jennifer (Rick) Cordes, and Jasmine Ayers.

Robert Ayers was a US Navy Veteran and served in World War II. He was a man who was devoted to his wife of 67 years and his beloved family. He was a very loving and supportive father. The eternal love that Robert and Eileen had was ever lasting and like no other. They had a relationship that was inseparable. His smile was contagious and brightened up your day. He had a love of football, chocolate, lottery, music and movies. He had a very strong relationship with his grandchildren. Robert shared a special bond with his granddaughter Jessica. His eyes would light up and laughter was shared. Robert will be greatly missed.
