Robert “Bob” L. Kresmery, 80, of West Haven, passed away on August 31, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of humor and unforgettable meals. Born in Stamford, CT to the late Harry and Helen Clark Kresmery, Bob carried the values of family and hard work throughout his life.
Bob shared 35 beautiful years with his beloved wife, Marcella Zullo. He is also survived by his sister, Jill Abbott; two nephews, a niece, and four cherished cousins: Gina, Richard, Alicia, and James. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard C. Kresmery, whose memory he held close. And of course, Bob leaves behind his loyal companion Mimi-Lulu, the little dog who stole his heart and never left his side.
A proud graduate of the Culinary Institute of Stamford, Bob turned his passion for food into a lifelong career. As a Chef and later Director of Food Service at Bayer, he was known not just for his skill, but for the heart he poured into every dish. Whether preparing a feast for hundreds or a quiet dinner at home, Bob’s cooking was always a love letter to those he served.
In retirement, Bob found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He could often be found in his garage, cigar in hand, keeping a watchful eye on the neighborhood and greeting passersby with a wave or a witty remark. It was his way of staying connected - always present, always engaged.
Arrangements were entrusted to West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. At Bob’s request, no services will be held.
