Ronald Hannon, 76, passed away on March 29, 2021. He was born on May 11, 1944, in Astoria, New York, son of the late Albert and Stella Wyleczuk Hannon. He is survived by his sister Linda Hannon (Paul Carlino), his children Donald (Sharon) Hannon, Nancy (Ken) McNary, and Ronald (Holly) Hannon, his seven grandchildren; Jonathan & Spencer Hannon, Brittany & Taylor McNary, Ryan, Ethan & Emily Hannon, as well as his beloved pet, Bobo. After the loss of his brother Roger to Cystic Fibrosis, Ron made regular donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for the rest of his life.
Prior to retiring, Ron was the owner and operator of Mark III Company, Inc. He was known for his love of Lincoln Continental Mark III’s, and collecting Lionel trains and die cast cars. UCONN women’s basketball, golf, and single malt scotch were his favorite pastimes. Hi-fidelity movies and music, dressing up and having a good time all made Ron very happy. He was a hard worker, and a generous man, and he will be missed.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday June 26, from 9 – 11AM, with a funeral service to commence at 11 o’clock, at West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Interment will be private.
